About Scoremark
Built for small UK accountancy practices.
Built for small UK accountancy practices that are invisible online and do not know where to start.

Emmezin Nell — Founder, Scoremark
I help accountancy practices become easier to find, easier to trust and easier to choose.
My background spans finance, commercial management, business development and client retention across more than 25 years inside FTSE 100 and NASDAQ-listed organisations including British Airways, Cable and Wireless and a large Global Software company. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management and have completed advanced CIMA study.
How Scoremark started
A few years ago I began evaluating small accountancy practices as a potential acquirer. I wanted to buy a practice — something I could add genuine value to and grow.
What I found surprised me. Practice after practice had strong client relationships, years of expertise and loyal referral networks. But almost none of them had a meaningful online presence. Websites were outdated. Google Business Profiles were incomplete or ignored. Reviews were sparse. LinkedIn was silent.
The result was low valuations. A business built entirely on the owner's personal relationships carries high risk for any buyer. Clients are loyal to the partner, not the brand. When the owner steps back, the business can walk out with them.
I saw the same pattern repeatedly. Owners who had spent ten, fifteen, twenty years building something valuable were leaving money on the table — not because the practice was weak, but because it was invisible.
Why I built Scoremark
I brought together what I have spent my career developing — deep financial and commercial understanding, and hands-on experience in online presence, client retention and business development inside a major global technology company.
Scoremark applies those disciplines to the accountancy sector. Not generic marketing. Not templated SEO. A structured, scored approach to making a practice easier to find across Google, AI search and local directories — and easier to trust when a potential client lands there.
The goal is simple. Help practices attract better clients now and build a firm that is worth more when the time comes to sell.
Why practice owners choose Scoremark
Most marketing agencies do not understand accountancy practice valuations. Most do not know what a buyer looks for during due diligence. And none of them are local to Berkshire and Surrey.
Scoremark is built on commercial credibility, not just marketing theory. When I talk about online presence affecting firm value, I am speaking from direct experience evaluating practices as a potential buyer — not from a slide deck.
If you run a small accountancy practice in Reading, Woking or the wider Berkshire, Surrey area and your online presence does not reflect the quality of your work — that is exactly the problem Scoremark exists to fix.
